Building Process


  1. contact us by phone or email to set up a free estimate. at the time of the estimate, we will discuss the proposed design, get measurements, and go over recommended products. we will have samples off all the different floor and railing products that we recommend.
  2. we will take the info back to our office and use our 3d deck design computer program to design your deck in 3d graphics. we will then email or mail (whichever method your prefer) the 3d design to you along with pricing. the 3d design will give you the exact look of your finished deck before you even give us the go ahead for the project! we can make any changes to the design until you are completely satisfied with the overall design.
  3. if you decide to move forward with keystone, we require a 10% deposit to get started on the permit process. upon receiving the deposit, we will take care of applying for and obtaining the permits at no extra cost and we will schedule all required inspections. the homeowner will not have to work with the township at all. the homowner is required to pay the permit fees, as charged by township.
  4. upon permit approval, we will contact the homeowner to let them know that everything has been approved and we will set an exact date for starting the deck.
  5. during the building process, we highly respcect the homeowners property. therefore, we will maintain a clean and safe jobsite throughout. no large equipment will be brought into the yard that could potentially damage it. we will keep our truck in the driveway/street and will not bring that into the yard.
  6. we also value the homeowner’s opinion as the deck begins to take shape. therefore, if the homowner sees they would like to make some changes as the job progresses, we will do our best to occomodate that. you can discuss things with our craftsmen that are at your home or you can contact the office by email or phone at anytime. we want to leave the jobsite with a finished product that is better than what you expected!
  7. at the completion of the project, we will take all remaining junk with us and will clean up everything. the balance for the project is due on completion and your final approval of the workmanship.

Introducing our all new 3d computer deck program. We here at Keystone are constantly looking for new and better ways to make your experience with us as easy and enjoyable as possible. We have recently purchased a 3d deck design program, which allows us to sketch out your future deck and show you in 3d design. You can now see your deck design and color combinations in full 3d view before you even sign a contract for your deck. This helps you to visualize the finished project so you know exactly how your finished deck will appear! No more guessing and hoping it turns out as you expected. It is just one of our ways to provide you, the homeowner, with a quality deck starting from design to completion.
